Thank you so much for the overwhelming love and support on last week's bathroom renovation reveal. I'm filled with immense pride every time I step into this transformed space, which Finn and I can now proudly say we designed ourselves! Now let me take you behind the scenes to show you how we utilized every square inch of our small bathroom area by maximizing storage solutions.
Today, I want to share some creative ideas that helped us to create a functional yet stylish bathroom without compromising on space. Obviously, it's not just about having a large room; even in smaller spaces, strategic planning can lead to an organized and efficient environment.
Storage Solutions for Smaller Bathrooms
A few weeks ago, we hit up Lowe’s Home Improvement with the intention of picking out items that would help us organize Finn's bathroom necessities without breaking the bank. It was delightful not to have to fill our cart with more DIY materials; instead, it was fun browsing through the organization section. Here's what made our list:
Lazy Susans are often used in kitchen cabinets but rarely in bathrooms - until now! Finn is utilizing one on his vanity for all his toiletries and grooming items. It’s incredibly convenient as each item stays securely attached to the bottom of the spinning disk, allowing easy access to everything at any time.
Given our tall bathroom cabinet, we knew that vertical space couldn’t go unused. The double-decker bins were an excellent investment for storing smaller items and ensuring they stay organized rather than turning into a cluttered mess in one large basket.
Our previous vanity lacked drawers, but this time around, we were ecstatic to find that our new design included a slim drawer at the bottom! To keep it looking tidy and not overwhelming, we bought a silverware organizer which now beautifully stores items like flossers, tweezers, and razors.
While I m for minimal visual clutter in our bathroom decor, I still needed to find a way to neatly store essentials without them being on display. The petite tray we purchased from Etsy holds Finn’s soap dispenser and scented candles beautifully while keeping the countertop looking clean.
With glass shower doors instead of curtns now allowing clear sight into our bathroom, it's crucial that everything inside looks presentable. I sourced adorable contners from an Etsy seller to store Finn's shampoo and conditioner any unappealing packaging.
In a guest bathroom, easy access to extra toilet paper is a must for practicality as well as comfort. This simple addition ensures guests never have to ask us for more and encourages Finn to always top up the roll when necessary.
With these strategic storage solutions in place, our small bathroom feels larger than life!
Stay tuned for future updates on how we've transformed this space from start to finish!
